• Why do other brands of Greek yogurt have a higher protein content than Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt?

  Our yogurt is “Greek Style” and reminiscent of the classic flavors used in Greece. Because Greek Gods yogurt is made in the traditional cup-set or pot-set method, we never strain our yogurt like the other Greek yogurts you’ll find in stores. The result? A delicious taste like no other and a silky smooth texture you can really dig in to.

• What cultures are used in Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt?

  Greek culture? No, seriously, we use Thermophilus, L. Bulgaricus, L. Acidophilus, Bifidobacterium and L. Casei.

• What is the shelf life of Greek Gods® products?

  The “best by date” is printed on each package to guarantee that you enjoy the freshest-tasting product.

• Where can I find the expiration date on my container of Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt?

  The expiration date on the 6 oz. Greek Style Yogurt container is located on the side of the container.
  The expiration date on the 24 oz. Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt is located on either the lip of the container lid or the body of the tub.
  The expiration date on Greek Gods® brand Kefir Low Fat Cultured Milk is located on the lid.

• Can I freeze Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt?

  Sure, Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt can be stored frozen for no longer than three months. As you can imagine, the texture and taste of a frozen product that has been thawed will be different than the product stored in the refrigerator. We recommend that Greek Gods® products are kept refrigerated for the best quality.

• Why is there sometimes a liquid on top of my Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt?

  his is perfectly normal in yogurt products. The liquid present on top of the yogurt is whey, a nutritional component, which is formed from the inherent separation of milk in the product. Just stir it back into the yogurt and enjoy.

• Is Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt vegetarian-friendly?

  Yes, if you are a vegetarian who consumes animal by-products such as milk and honey.

• Is Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt certified organic?

  Not at this time.

• Do Greek Gods® brand products contain any artificial sweeteners?

  No, our products are not sweetened with artificial sweeteners. We only use honey and cane sugar, and our Maple with Honey Yogurt is also made with molasses.

• What are rBST and rBGH?

  rBST and rBGH are growth hormones often given to cows. All of our Greek Style yogurts are formulated with milk from cows not treated with rBST/rBGH growth hormones. NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE HAS BEEN SHOWN BETWEEN MILK DERIVED FROM rBST TREATED AND NON-rBST TREATED COWS.

• Can I recycle Greek Gods® Greek Style Yogurt containers?

  Yes, the containers can be recycled in most areas. Check the local recycling requirements to determine if 5 PP is accepted in your municipality. The foil lids for the 6 oz. containers are accepted wherever foil may be recycled.
